Dr. William Porzio

Periodontist & Implant Surgeon

Dr. William Porzio is a Board-Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He brings a warm and personalized approach to patient care as our newest member of DC Perio & Implants. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry. During this time, he played an active role in student governance where he served as a class officer and student-alumni associate. Upon graduation, Dr. Porzio began his dental education at the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, NC where he discovered his love for community outreach. Serving as a coordinator for the Student Health Action Coalition dental clinic, he embraced his passion for periodontal treatments. Dr. Porzio earned his Masters of Science Degree upon completion of his three-year periodontics residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, receiving extensive training in periodontal and dental implant surgery. When he’s not busy connecting with patients in the clinic, Dr. Porzio spends his time hiking, kayaking, and petting his two cats.
